The Willmar Lakes Area
must be a great place to live, work, and play. If it wasn't,
why would people like you keep moving back here to enjoy the
better quality of life, expanding job opportunities, and awesome
recreational amenities in the area?
Just ask former Major League Baseball player Mike Kingery,
who through his career moved 54 times and lived in Florida,
Tennessee, South Carolina, Nebraska, Missouri, Washington,
Arizona, California, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and even Canada:
"We love being back to the place that Chris and I have
always called home."
Or ask Chad Thompson, the show director for the national award
winning Little Crow Ski Team, who has lived and worked in
Orlando, San Antonio, Australia, and Japan, why he came back:
"I have been around the world, and there is nowhere I
would rather be than here. It's good to be home near friends
and family again; the lakes and golf courses are great, too!
No more traffic jams, planes, and trains for me!"
We think it really says something about our quality of life
in Kandiyohi County when people who have their choice of where
to live decide they want to come back home to work, live,
and play. If you're interested in coming back to the area
and would like us to help you make that move more possible,
please e-mail your résumé to the EDC office
at edp@kandiyohi.com
and we will do whatever we can to help you, including sharing
your résumé with our network of local employers
and businesses.
If you'd like to learn more about the people who have already
successfully made the move, please read our Closer to Home
newsletters below (PDF formats). Our next success story
could be about you!
