Powers Board
CREATION
The
Kandiyohi County and City of Willmar Economic Development
Commission (EDC) was created through a Joint
Powers Agreement by and between the County of Kandiyohi
and the City of Willmar on July 1, 2003 under Minn. Stat.
§ 471.59 to encourage, attract, promote and develop economically
sound industry and commerce within the county and city.
JOINT
POWERS BOARD
The
Joint Powers Board consists of six members—three from
each governing body. Each member is appointed to serve
for three years or until a successor is appointed and qualified.
MISSION
STATEMENT
To
be a catalyst for economic growth of the greater Kandiyohi
County area.

Meets
11:30 a.m. quarterly on the fourth Thursday at the EDC office.
