Rice investing more than ever in workforce preparation, training

5.12.2012: WILLMAR–Rice Memorial Hospital is investing more than ever in workforce preparation, training and education, to the tune of thousands of hours annually, according to the hospital’s latest human resources report.

The report, which was shared Wednesday with the hospital board of directors, documents workforce statistics and what Rice is doing to recruit, retain and train its employees.

Cornering the Market

5.15.2012: WILLMAR–Owners of aging Mooney aircraft are having their leaky fuel tanks repaired with a unique Weep No Moreprocess developed by a local business at Willmar Municipal Airport.

The process removes the old sealant in the fuel tank with a chemical stripper that’s sprayed into the tank by a special machine. The chemical strips the old sealant down to bare metal. The tank is then washed, dried and resealed, adding many years of useful life to the aircraft.
