Community Activities

Atwater offers a public library, historical museum, modern community center, state-of-the-art fire department and ambulance service, 5-person police department, an elementary school, several churches, the Island Pine Golf Club and several parks.

The Atwater Chamber of Commerce, the Lions, the American Legion and Auxiliary, and three 4-H clubs all provide Atwater's area residents with many opportunities for service and fulfillment.

The quality of life in Atwater includes a pastoral setting of two small lakes within the city limits, with larger lakes nearby for fishing and recreation. Hunters of deer, ducks and pheasants can find success within a short radius of town.
